Hi, I see your thinking of re-doing the site & only as a suggestion for you? You could build a new site & place redirects on all your existing pages to the new sites pages.
You might of seen the site builder? but I have found this free one & easy to use "BlueVoda"

It's kind of you to make suggestions but converting in excess of 600 pages to redirects is both time-consuming and SEO unfriendly.

I have a large hosting account so I'll keep the site on my own server.

I'm already paying a guy a lot of money to create new templates and do other work on the new site before I take over the main conversion so I'm really beyond the point of no return.
